Monday Savings @ CVS! Spent $0.53 on items totaling $25.23

I recently bought new boxes of contact lens' and I needed contact lens cleaner. The CVS near me had them out of stock on Sunday so I went to the 2nd closest CVS today. Also, since my Sunday transaction at CVS produced a lot of Extra Care Bucks for me I decided to use them to buy the contact lens cleaner and other items.

This is what I got:

1 Clear Care Contact Lens Solution x $10.49 each
1 CVS Body Wash x $3.79 each
6 Balance bars x $1.50 each = $9.00

Total without coupons and 8.375% CA tax = $25.23

Coupons I used

-20% off CVS coupon that is valid for non-sale items
-6 Free Balance Bar coupons I won from Balance Bar's Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BalanceBar (I was lucky to get a cashier who isn't strict on coupon acceptance!)
-$2.00 off a CVS brand body wash which I received in my cvs.com account
-$9.00 Extra Care Bucks

Total after coupons & 8.375% CA tax = $0.53

$25.23 - $0.53 = $24.70 full price eliminated

Plus I got a $1.00 Extra Care Buck from it being my 4th green bag tag scan.

Mailbox Monday 7/23/12

Happy Mailbox Monday everyone!

Here are the freebies I received in the mail:

July 16
-12 Free Balance Bar coupons I won from Balance Bar's Facebook page contest called "Outlast the Clock" that ends on 9/17/12 https://www.facebook.com/BalanceBar/ The fun part will be finding a store that will redeem all the coupons at the same time lol
-Marie Claire Magazine w/Kristen Wiig

July 17
-Pedometer (I have no idea where it's from. The box it came in wasn't marked.)

July 19
-Crystal Light Appletini sample from Crystal Light's Facebook page. I'm not sure if they have anymore samples but if you like their page you can see if they have any more. https://www.facebook.com/crystallight

Sunday Savings @ CVS

Sunday marks the start of a new CVS sale week so I couldn't resist using some coupons.
This is what I got:

1 Gillette Venus & Olay Razor x $9.99 each
2 Starbucks Refresh Drinks x $1.50 each + $0.10 CA Bottle Deposit = $3.10
1 Advil x $2.99 each
1 Crest Toothpaste x $2.99 each

Total without coupons & 8.375% CA Tax = $20.66

Coupons I used:

-$7.75 in Extra Care Bucks
-$4.00 off 1 Gillette Venus & Olay Razor from Smart Sources 6/17/12 Coupon Insert
-$1.00 off Advil 20 ct from Red Plum's 5/20/12 Coupon Insert
-$0.75 off Crest Pro Health from P&G's 7/1/12 Coupon Insert

Approximate total after coupons & 8.375% CA Tax = $6.03

(The reason I say approximate is I did the transaction with some items my mom bought so I just calculated what was mine.)

$20.66 - $6.03 = $14.63 full price approximately eliminated

Plus I got back $4 Extra Bucks from the Gillette razor, $3 Extra Care Bucks from the 2 Starbucks drinks, $2 Extra Care Bucks from the Crest Toothpaste, and $1 Extra Care Buck from the Advil.

I earned a total of $10 Extra Bucks to use for next time.

Sunday Savings @ CVS! Spent $2.39 on items worth $27.54

CVS has been stingy with their good store coupons lately. That is why I rarely go like I used to. This past Sunday CVS finally released a good coupon that I had to use. The coupon was $4 off a $20 or more purchase.

This is what I got:

1 Just for Men Hair Dye for my dad @ $10.49
1 Nature Made Vitamin D bottle @ $7.99
2 Colgate Max Fresh Toothpastes @ $5.00
1 can of olives @ $1.37
1 Unreal candy bar @ $0.75

Total without coupons: $27.54

Coupons I used:

$4 off $20 Purchase Coupon
$3 Extra Care Bucks
$2 Extra Care Bucks
$9.99 off Just For Men Dye Coupon
$3 off Any Vitamin Purchase CVS Coupon
$2 off Nature Made Vitamin Manufacturer Coupon
$0.50 off 1 Box of Colgate Toothpaste

Total after coupons: $2.39

$27.54 - $2.39 = $25.15 full price eliminated!

Plus I got back a total of $7.75 in Extra Care Bucks to use for my next transaction.

I hope CVS gets back into the groove of releasing more good coupons like the $4 off $20 purchase coupon.
