Mailbox Monday August 9th - Steaks, hamburgers, gum & an empty envelope?!

Happy Mailbox Monday everyone!

My mail was better this week. The highlight for me was when I received a big package from Omaha Steaks. I had won an Omaha Steaks gift certificate good for 8 rib eye steaks and 16 hamburgers in 2009.

I kept putting off redeeming the certificate until the last week of July. I thought it would be perfect to have just in time for my dad's birthday which is in August.

The lowlight of my mail was when I received an empty envelope on Saturday. The envelope was from COTY US LLC. and it said "2**2***SINGLE-PIECE 32799."

Someone on Slick Deals told me that it was from Allure magazine's June 3rd, 2010 giveaway. It was supposed to have a bottle of Sally Hansen's Nail Nutrition Green Tea + Olive Growth.

I sent an e-mail to COTY and Allure. I hope I can get a replacement sent but I'm not holding my breath for it. At least it wasn't anything major.

August 2nd
-Mad Men t-shirt I won from Cafe Press on Twitter
-Marie Claire magazine
-"Add a fresh made dessert for $2" coupon for Maggiano's restaurant

-A Starbucks coupon for 1 free Artisan Snack Plate - Which I cannot wait to try!

August 3rd
-Omaha Steaks I won from a contest.
I looked on the Omaha Steaks website to see how much the steaks and hamburgers were. I found out that four 8oz. Ribeyes are $76.99. Since I had 8 the total cost for the eight steaks are $153.98. The cost of the 16 hamburgers are $24.00. Total cost of the 8 ribeyes and 16 hamburgers is $177.98!
-Orbit Gum Bzzkit - My first Bzz Kit in over a year! It came with 5 packages of Orbit Gum and buy one get one free coupons.

August 5th

August 6th

Hey Jocelyn!

Wow. I can't believe that I haven't comment in a while. I've been coming to look over and see what you've been getting in the mail, but I have no idea why I haven't commented!

It looks like you had an awesome Mailbox Monday this week! And that your Dad is gonna have a nice birthday dinner. :D If I'm not mistaken, I had quite a Mailbox Monday last week myself. After over of a month of waiting, I finally received part of an order from Amazon. A copy of Stop Loss and some (huge) headphones. The rest is coming Tuesday or Wednesday. :D [Instant Star Season 4 DVD! I'm SO excited!]

Anyway...I wanted to tell you that my parents are flying out to Las Vegas in a few hours. They are staying at The Paris. Didn't you take a picture of the Eiffle tower there when you were in Vegas? I went and read it again last week and read parts of it to my Mom. I think she's gonna go to the M&M's store while she is there. :D

Hope all is well and I promise I'll comment more from now on.

Hi Mandie,

Thanks for your comment! It's good to know you're still visiting this site.

If I'm not mistaken, Stop Loss has Channing Tatum and Ryan Phillippe in it. (They're both all kinds of delicious lol)

I hope your parents had a great time in Vegas. I did take a picture of the Eiffle tower there back in February.

I also took a picture of the Paris sign. The Paris is right on the strip and very close to the Bellagio so your parents can watch the fountain show which is really pretty at night.

I feel so honored that you read my Vegas review to your mom lol I feel like an impromptu tour guide.

The M&M's store is close to the MGM Grand. I think it's one of the places a person has to stop by while in Vegas. It's like chocolate candy heaven. The M&M's are a bit pricey but they do have the rare colors which you can't buy in other stores.

I look forward to more comments from you :D

Hey!! :)
I read your concert experience, and despite being a bit late, I think what nick did to those roses made up for that ;)(
more intense imagery to our unbaring minds lol! ;p)
and about Justin not being the refund guy, he'd sort of be okay with that. when I went to the concert in Dubai, and after a series of amazing and shocking experiences, there were like 10$ or more left but he was so kind to brush it off esp. since it was a platinum. (p.s he sorta helped me stay in... but can't tell u much on here FB ;p)
I really enjoyed your writing and felt as though I was right there with you!! hehe.(especially with the being late part) and about the length, lol, it's totally cool, i wrote my 1st and only experience on Word (4p. long) before i posted the shorter version on FB.

Had fun reading!

xoxo
